Philip Hunt

Vice Chancellor

Philip Hunt serves as the Vice Chancellor of Central Africa Baptist University and Central Africa Seminary, where he is deeply committed to equipping the next generation of African church leaders. With over thirty-two years of church planting experience in Zambia, his leadership continues to shape theological education and ministry development across the continent. He studied missions at Oklahoma Baptist College and holds a Doctor of Divinity from Northland Baptist Bible College. In addition to his academic and administrative roles, Dr. Hunt pastors Kitwe Church and serves as Africa Director for IBMGlobal. He is also a board member at Faith Children’s Village Orphanage. Phil is married to Lori, and together they have seven children and three grandchildren.

Billy Chilongo Sichone

Deputy Vice Chancellor for Research & Seminary

Billy Chilongo Sichone serves as a vital member of the leadership team at Central Africa Seminary, contributing to the graduate programme’s development. After serving as the Vice President of Academics at Northrise University, he joined Central Africa Baptist University, where he currently serves as Deputy Vice Chancellor for Research & Seminary. His extensive experience in educational leadership and church service, alongside his commitment to biblical education, positions him to effectively guide future leaders. Billy is married to Jane, and together they have three children.

Kevin Sherman

Dean of the Seminary

Kevin Sherman serves as the Dean of Central Africa Seminary, where he plays an integral role overseeing the curriculum and operations of the graduate programme. He holds a Master of Divinity from Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary and a Master of Theology from Union School of Theology in Wales. Currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Patristic Theology at Oxford, Kevin’s vision for the seminary includes fostering a deep commitment to the gospel amoung graduates. In addition to his leadership duties, he oversees the Research and Writing course, ensuring academic rigor. Kevin resides in Kitwe, Zambia, with his family, actively participating in their local church as a deacon.
