Samuel Horn
Dr. Sam Horn serves Central Africa Seminary as an adjunct lecturer in biblical exposition, bringing over 30 years of ministry experience in both academic and pastoral roles. As a founding team member of both Universidad Cristiana de Las Américas in Mexico and Central Africa Baptist University in Zambia, Dr. Horn has played a significant role in shaping theological education for gospel ministry across cultures. He holds advanced degrees in theology and ministry and currently serves as the senior pastor of Palmetto Baptist Church in South Carolina, USA. He is married to Beth, and they have two adult children.

Timothy Murdoch
Timothy Murdoch holds a Doctor of Ministry from Liberty Baptist University and has dedicated his career to serving in Africa as a church planter and university lecturer from 2015 to 2025. His extensive experience includes working in Ghana, Liberia, and Zambia, where he facilitated college accreditation and mentored local pastors. In addition to his academic contributions at Central Africa Baptist University, Dr. Murdoch previously served as a pastor in the United States and retired from the United States Coast Guard after twenty years of service. He is married to Lisa, and together they have been committed to discipling and counselling missionaries for the advancement of the gospel.

Chopo Mwanza
Chopo Mwanza teaches courses in African Religious Context and Christian Ethics within Central Africa Seminary. He has been an integral part of Central Africa Baptist Unviversity since 2015 and currently serves as the Director of Advancement. He holds multiple advanced degrees, including a Master of Arts in Biblical Studies from Central Baptist Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry in Expository Preaching from the Master’s Seminary. Dr. Mwanza is also a pastor at Faith Baptist Church Riverside. He is married to Kunda, and they are blessed with three children.

Kevin Sherman
Kevin Sherman brings extensive academic qualifications and expertise to his teaching at Central Africa Seminary. He holds a Master of Divinity from Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary and a Master of Theology from Union School of Theology in Wales, and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Patristic Theology at Oxford. Over the past fourteen years, Kevin has taught courses including Greek Grammar, Systematic Theology, and Critical Thinking at Central Africa Baptist University. His dedication to academic excellence is reflected in his oversight of the Research and Writing course, which is designed to enhance the scholarly capabilities of students. Kevin and his family live in Kitwe, Zambia, where they are active members of their local church.

Billy Chilongo Sichone
Billy Chilongo Sichone is an accomplished lecturer at Central Africa Seminary, where he brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the classroom. He began his professional journey with World Vision International (Zambia) in 1998, later transitioning to academia in 2015. After serving as the Vice President of Academics at Northrise University, he joined Central Africa Baptist University, where he currently serves as Deputy Vice Chancellor of Research & Seminary. Billy’s expertise includes teaching and researching critical educational topics, and he has authored a book on research matters. He is married to Jane, and together they have three children.
Adjunct

Conrad Mbewe
Conrad Mbewe brings decades of pastoral and theological experience to Central Africa Seminary, where he teaches courses in African missions and Christian history. As a respected leader, author, and academic, Dr. Mbewe helps equip the next generation of Christian leaders to serve faithfully and contextually across the continent. He has served as the pastor of Kabwata Baptist Church since 1987 and is the founding Chancellor of the African Christian University. He holds degrees from the University of Zambia, Cape Town Baptist Seminary, and the University of Pretoria, where he earned a PhD in Missions. Dr. Mbewe is married to Felistas, and they have five adult children and nine grandchildren.

Jeremy Pitsley
Jeremy Pitsley serves as an adjunct lecturer in Old Testament courses at Central Africa Seminary, bringing extensive experience in theological education and ministry. He holds a BA from Northland International University, an MDiv and ThM from Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary, and is a PhD candidate at The Master’s Seminary. Jeremy has served 12 years as a missionary and 7 years in pastoral ministry, alongside teaching roles at East Africa Baptist School of Theology and Nairobi Institute of Reformed Theology. He joins CAS while serving on the faculty of Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary. Jeremy and his wife have three children.

Osward Sichula
Osward Sichula brings over two decades of pastoral and academic experience to Central Africa Seminary. As senior pastor of Crossway Baptist Church for 17 years and an academic leader at African Christian University and Lusaka Ministerial College, he combines theological depth with practical ministry wisdom. Dr. Sichula has earned advanced degrees, including an MA, BTh, and PhD. He regularly contributes to theological articles, such as those featured in the Reformation Zambia Magazine, where he shares his passion for reformed doctrine and biblical truth. Dr. Sichula is a devoted husband and father of three.
